Dr. Brian Hatten is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with special interests in complex fracture management, total joint replacements and arthroscopic management of athletic injuries.

Dr. Hatten was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He pursued his academic schooling at Cornell University followed by medical school at New York University. He achieved distinction as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated among the top of his class. He further pursued surgical training at the University of Miami with a large portion of training performed at Jackson Memorial Hospital. During this time he became involved with high school athletics including on field coverage for football games and advising athletic trainers.

Dr. Hatten joined the Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach in 2004 and practices general orthopaedics including surgical and nonsurgical management. He provides care for a wide variety of bone, joint, muscular and nervous conditions. He focuses on conservative management when appropriate. He also provides advance surgical management including minimally invasive joint reconstructions and fracture management.

Since moving to the Daytona Beach area, he has become involved with the local medical community. Dr. Hatten, along with his partners James Bryan, M.D. and Jeffrey Martin, M.D., are the official team orthopaedic surgeons covering the arena football team, the Daytona Thunder. Additionally he provides his time to such community projects such as the Halifax Dunn Clinic and scoliosis screening for middle school children.

Dr. Hatten's practice includes treating patients from Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, and Port Orange.
